BMT RIV
Rapid Intervention VehicleFor many years BMT has developed and delivered a variety of Rapid Intervention Vehicles, also called SIV, FSU or RIV, to various Fire Departments at home and abroad. These compact, manoeuvrable and flexible vehicles are often used to solve occupancy problems or infrastructure problems within the safety regions and industry.

Properties
The BMT rapid intervention vehicles are available on the basis of Mercedes Benz Sprinter or Vito, Iveco Daily, MAN TGE, Volkswagen Crafter or Transporter, with a vehicle weight of between 3 and 7 tonnes, in a closed van version or a chassis-cab fitted with a plastic or aluminium fire department body.
The basic vehicles are optionally available with Zero-Emissions and 4×4 drive.
Extinguishing Systems
The Rapid Intervention Vehicles can be equipped with various autonomous or vehicle-driven extinguishing systems, such as a CAFS One Seven, compressed air foam system or for example a UHPS or other LP/HP extinguishing system, with or without foam proportioning system. The vehicles are available with a built-in plastic or stainless steel water and/or foam tank, which varies between 250-800 liters. (depending on the chosen model and configuration)
