One Seven CAFS extinguishing systems for road tunnels

One Seven Stationary systems for road tunnels

The main problem with tunnel fires is the high fire dynamic in combination with the often limited possibilities for evacuation. Therefore it is crucial to detect fires as early as possible and to fight them immediately – with stationary systems, already in the decisive minutes before the arrival of the fire brigade.

Advantages:

  • Very effective firefighting with One Seven® compressed air foam

  • Flexible use for different types of burning materials/fluids

  • Protection of the tunnel structure by very good adhesion of the foam to walls and ceilings

  • Easy operation via the control center or on site

  • Extension of tunnel use possible, e.g. release for heavy load transportation and hazardous materials transportation

  • Individual system planning for different tunnel types and lengths

  • Low maintenance effort (remote-controlled valves, dry system)

  • Combination with One Seven® hose lines and/or use of defensive fire protection possible
